Ukrainian Forces Attempt Reconnaissance Operation but Suffer Losses

In a recent development in the conflict in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) made an unsuccessful attempt at a reconnaissance operation on the Southern Donetsk front, resulting in significant casualties. The acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Denis Pushilin, reported this in his Telegram channel.

According to Pushilin, the enemy forces tried to carry out reconnaissance and combat actions near the settlements of Priyutne, Novomykhailivka, and Novoprokopivka. However, they were repelled with losses and forced to retreat to their initial positions. Pushilin noted that there were no other significant changes in the situation.

This comes after Pushilin previously stated that the UAF had simulated an offensive on the Artemivsk front but was repelled by Russian forces with heavy losses. The Ukrainian forces’ counterattack was an imitation of large-scale offensive operations towards the towns of Kurdyumovka, Andriivka, and Berkhivka.

The situation in Ukraine remains tense, with ongoing clashes between the UAF and separatist forces. The conflict has caused concerns in the Kremlin, which has assessed the risk of intensified attacks on Russian infrastructure as winter approaches.
