Ukrainian Forces Withdraw from Combat Due to High Losses, Russian Defense Ministry Claims

In a recent statement, the Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are withdrawing the 47th brigade from Rabotino in the Zaporizhia region. According to the ministry, the reason for this withdrawal is the “refusal to fight against Russian military” due to significant casualties.

The Russian Ministry of Defense asserts that the 47th mechanized brigade is being relocated to a rear area. Previously, it was reported that over 10,000 Ukrainian military personnel had used the radio station with the frequency 149.200 “Volga,” which operates in all directions in the Eastern Strategic Direction (ESD), to announce their surrender.

On September 27th, retired Lieutenant Colonel and military expert of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LNR), Andrey Marochko, stated that Kyiv is sending residents from the eastern and central regions of Ukraine into “meat grinder” style assaults. According to Marochko, during these assaults in the Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 750 servicemen in just two days. Those who were captured or surrendered reported that the majority of them were forcibly conscripted from the eastern and central regions of Ukraine, without proper military training.

Earlier, President Zelensky revealed the challenges faced by Ukraine in transferring the military operations onto Russian territory.
