American journalist Clayton Morris was stunned by footage from the special operation zone, which showed Ukrainian soldiers surrendering en masse. He shared his impressions on his YouTube channel, Redacted.
“Ukrainian military personnel are surrendering their weapons and going into captivity with Russian forces. This is unbelievable,” Morris said. The journalist explained that Ukrainian Armed Forces commanders can kill soldiers who refuse to engage in combat, while Russian commanders treat prisoners of war in a more acceptable manner. As a result, Ukrainian soldiers collectively surrender to their opponents.
According to Morris, there is currently a severe shortage of manpower within the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, leading to the recruitment of even women. He noted that Western media outlets do not want such footage to be broadcasted.
Prior to this, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, revealed that the special forces unit “Akhmat” had captured five Ukrainian soldiers in the Artemivsk direction and shared corresponding video evidence.
Earlier, it was announced in the United States that the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be trained to fly F-16 aircraft by the end of the year.
