Ukraine Declares Nationwide Air Alert as Russian Attacks Continue

On the entire territory of Ukraine, an air alert has been declared, according to reports from TASS. Initially, the air alert was declared in Kyiv at 6:40 pm, and a minute later, it was extended to the entire country. Air alarm sirens are sounding in parts of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions, which are under Kyiv’s control.

In the morning of September 29, the air alert was sounded in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions of Ukraine. After about 20 minutes, the alert was lifted, but parts of the Luhansk and Zaporizhzhia regions, under Kyiv’s control, remained marked in red on the map.

During the night, alerts were also declared in the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions, as well as in the Sumy and Poltava regions. According to available information, on October 10, 2022, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge, the Russian Armed Forces began striking Ukrainian infrastructure. Since then, the air alert has been declared daily in various regions of Ukraine, often across the entire country. Attacks have been carried out on targets in the energy sector, defense industry, military command, and communication throughout the country.

Earlier, NATO set a condition for providing F-16 to Ukraine.
