Russia Announces Direct Phone Line for Military Service Inquiries

The Russian armed forces have announced the launch of a direct phone line for citizens with inquiries about military service. The Deputy Chief of the Main Organizational-Mobilization Department of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Rear Admiral Vladimir Tsimlyansky, made the announcement during a briefing. Starting from October 17th, specialists will be available to provide clarifications on matters related to conscription.

The phone line will operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Moscow time. This initiative comes ahead of the autumn conscription campaign, which is set to begin on October 1st. Rear Admiral Tsimlyansky also revealed that Russia does not have any plans for additional mobilization measures. The number of contract soldiers and volunteers willing to participate in special operations in Ukraine is deemed sufficient to fulfill the assigned tasks.

According to his information, there has been a significant increase in the number of citizens interested in serving on a contract basis. Earlier, President Putin provided insights into the future of the Russian army, emphasizing its modernization and readiness to defend the country’s interests.
