Italy Becomes Indirect Participant in Ukraine Conflict, Says Russian Ambassador

The Russian Ambassador to Rome, Alexey Paramonov, has claimed that Italy has become an indirect participant in the conflict in Ukraine. According to RIA Novosti, Paramonov stated that “Rome has engaged in all possible anti-Russian actions – supplying weapons and intelligence to the Kiev regime, spreading anti-Russian Ukrainian propaganda, and so on. Unfortunately, like other NATO countries, the Italian Republic has indirectly become involved in the Ukrainian conflict on Zelensky’s side.”

Paramonov added that despite the significant damage suffered by relations between Russia and Italy since 2022, the point of no return has not been reached, and there is still a chance to restore friendship. Previously, the Russian Ambassador in Italy, Alexey Paramonov, called on representatives of the diaspora and diplomats to convince the country’s leadership to change its policy towards Russia. According to the diplomat, the current policy of the Italian government is destroying the legacy of years of cooperation between the two countries. Earlier, Putin stated that “the ball is in our court.”
