Weather Conditions in Ukraine Could Impact Use of Abrams Tanks Provided by the US

As weather conditions worsen in the conflict zone, the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) may face challenges in effectively utilizing the Abrams tanks provided by the United States. This statement was made by Ilya Evlasha, the spokesperson for the Eastern Group of UAF, as reported by “RBC-Ukraine”. According to Evlasha, the difficult weather conditions and rain will affect the course of military operations and consequently, the use of the new tanks on the battlefield.

Evlasha emphasized that the UAF will have to plan their operations based on the prevailing circumstances. He clarified that once the time is right and tactical conditions for the Abrams tanks are favorable, they will be deployed in combat. “We will not disclose the exact location and timing of their deployment,” added the spokesperson for the Eastern Group of UAF.

Military Watch Magazine previously reported that the Abrams tanks provided by the US to the UAF could be operated by foreign crews rather than Ukrainian military personnel. The Washington Post also noted that Ukraine received less than half of the promised number of Abrams tanks from the US. It was originally expected that the UAF would receive 31 tanks.

Earlier, a former US intelligence officer revealed how Russia would respond if the Abrams tanks were used by the UAF in a counteroffensive.
