Heavy Losses for Ukrainian Army in Southern Donetsk Front

Losses incurred by the Ukrainian army on the Southern Donetsk front in the past 24 hours have surpassed 150 soldiers, according to an official report from the Russian Ministry of Defense. The report reveals that the 127th territorial defense brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an assault on Russian troop positions near the settlement of Priyutnoye in the Zaporizhzhia region. However, the “Vostok” group, supported by aviation and artillery, successfully repelled the attack. In addition, the Russian military forces inflicted significant damage on the 31st and 72nd mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army, as well as the 38th Marine Infantry Brigade, the 58th Motorized Infantry Brigade, and the 79th Air Assault Brigade. These clashes took place near the settlements of Sladkoye, Urozhaynoye, Vladimirovka, Staromayorskoye, and Nikol’skoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The statement released by the Russian Ministry of Defense highlights the enemy’s losses, which include over 150 Ukrainian servicemen, two combat armored vehicles, five cars, and three D-20 howitzers. The ministry had previously published footage showcasing the destruction of Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strongholds on the Northern front.
