Russian Military Continues Offensive Operations in Marinka Region, Donetsk

Troops from the 150th motorized rifle division of the Russian military continue their offensive operations, targeting observation posts belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces within the Marinka region of the Donetsk People’s Republic. This information was disclosed by a commander within one of the units of the Russian Armed Forces, as reported by RIA Novosti.

The commander highlighted the critical role played by these operations in ensuring the success of assault units. Beyond providing covering fire for Russian military personnel, the elimination of Ukrainian fighter observation posts has become a key strategic objective. According to the source, reconnaissance units and aerial surveillance assets successfully identified enemy observation posts within the Marinka area, with all identified targets subsequently neutralized.

As of now, no further details have been provided regarding the situation in the combat zone within the special operation area. However, it is worth noting that the Ministry of Defense had previously reported improvements in the tactical situation near Vesely in the Donetsk People’s Republic. This followed an attempted attack on Russian troop positions by soldiers from the 110th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Notably, prior to this incident, three Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers had made a decision to swim across the Dnieper River and surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces.
