The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that Su-34 fighter-bomber jets have carried out airstrikes with guided aviation bombs on positions held by the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) in the Krasnolimansk direction. According to RIA Novosti, the strikes targeted command and observation points, unmanned aerial vehicle control points, as well as combat armored vehicles of the UAF.
This development comes after Denis Pushilin, the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, stated that Russian forces had thwarted four attempts by the UAF to gather intelligence on Russian positions in the Krasnolimansk direction. It was reported that the UAF was attempting to probe the defense of the Russian side near the settlements of Novoegorovka, Terny, Yampol, and Serebryanskoye Forestry.
Pushilin affirmed that the Russian Armed Forces have the situation under control and will continue to maintain control in the future.
Earlier, Russia has developed a new system for countering drones.
