Georgia Man Shot During Robbery at Apartment Complex

Police in Georgia are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two armed robbery suspects who shot a man at his apartment complex. The incident occurred at the Grove Point Apartment Homes in Norcross earlier this month. The victim, Michael Thomas, was taking out the trash when he was approached by two unidentified males in the parking lot. He was subsequently attacked and shot twice during the encounter. Witnesses reported seeing one of the suspects pistol-whip Thomas before he was shot. Thomas was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery and has since been released. However, he still has a bullet lodged in his leg and requires the use of a walker. Thomas has expressed his desire for the suspects to be apprehended and brought to justice, as he does not want anyone else in the complex to go through a similar ordeal. The Gwinnett County Police Department has released doorbell camera footage of the suspects in the hopes of identifying them. Both individuals are described as Black males, with one being heavyset and sporting dreadlocks, while the other is skinny with a short afro. The heavier male was seen wearing blue shorts and a black shirt, while the other wore a black hoodie, blue jeans, and green underwear. Witnesses have stated that they are juveniles who frequently asked for money in the area. The police have urged anyone with information regarding the suspects or the incident to contact them or Crime Stoppers. A cash reward is available for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
