Participants discussed various issues, including claims that black people were being denied ventilators due to their race. Before his legal troubles, Combs had been an influential figure in American culture and Democratic politics. His group Citizen Change had helped promote voter turnout during the 2004 and 2008 presidential campaigns with the catch-phrase “Vote or Die.
