A Connecticut middle school guidance counselor who allegedly sent explicit photos to a 13-year-old student and performed lap dances on him has been arrested and faces multiple charges. Luisa Melchionne, 47, was charged with second-degree sexual assault and two counts of risk of injury to a minor after her male friend discovered raunchy messages between her and the teenage boy on her phone. The student told investigators that Melchionne, a married mother of three, sent him nude photos and money for Uber rides, food, and $100 during Christmas last year. He also claimed that she performed lap dances and engaged in other sexual acts with him.
Melchionne was arrested on July 11 and resigned from her position at Nathan Hale Middle School on June 14. Norwalk Public Schools stated they are cooperating with the police investigation and will have no further comment. Melchionne’s attorney, Mark Sherman, told The Post that his client is “still very much entitled to the presumption of innocence.” He added that it would take time to investigate the case against a devoted wife and mother who has dedicated over 21 years to her profession.
