No Ceasefire No Vote: Palestinian Supporters Push for Commitment from Kamala Harris

In Pittsburgh, pro-Palestinian voters are raising concerns about Kamala Harris’ candidacy as they consider withholding their votes until a permanent ceasefire is reached or the VP commits to an arms embargo on Israel. During her recent debate preparation in Steel City, Harris was met with protestors clanging noisemakers and chanting “Free Palestine” outside her hotel. The No Ceasefire No Vote campaign is aiming to sway voters who may refuse to support Harris in November’s election unless a permanent cease-fire is reached or the VP commits to an arms embargo on Israel. In April, over 60,000 Pennsylvania Democrats voted against President Biden in the state primary at the urging of the pro-Palestinian group Uncommitted PA. Biden only won Pennsylvania in 2020 by 80,000 votes, making it a key battleground state for the upcoming election.
