Kennedy Questions Kamala’s Leadership Skills: Endorses Trump, Cites Language Issues and Aggressive Policies

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, has expressed his concerns over Vice President Kamala Harris’ abilities to be an effective leader, stating that she is not a “worthy president” due to her lack of coherent communication and inconsistency in policy positions. In an interview with NewsNation’s “Cuomo,” Kennedy criticized Harris for struggling to form complete English sentences and defend her policies during interviews and debates.

Kennedy’s recent departure from the presidential race occurred shortly after the Democratic National Convention, at which time he endorsed former President Donald Trump. He claimed that staying in the race would have essentially paved the way for Vice President Harris to become president, an outcome he was not in favor of. Following President Biden’s decision to bow out of the race on July 21, Kennedy’s polling numbers dropped significantly according to data from RealClearPolitics.

The scion of the famous Kennedy family also criticized Harris for her support of aggressive foreign policies and questioned whether she would continue the United States’ tradition of being the strongest, most lethal fighting force in the world. Kennedy expressed skepticism about continuous aid for war-torn Ukraine and suggested that reducing the military budget might be a better approach.

Despite Kennedy’s withdrawal from the race, he still faces challenges getting his name removed from ballots in key battleground states such as Michigan, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. He is currently challenging these states legally in an attempt to have his name struck from the list of candidates.

Kennedy and Trump had corresponded prior to Kennedy’s endorsement, and there was speculation about him potentially landing a position within a hypothetical administration led by Trump. However, Kennedy clarified that he is not seeking a specific role in government but instead aims to unify the party around certain objectives. He also highlighted areas of agreement between himself and Trump, such as their shared opposition to censorship, focus on chronic disease epidemics, and desire to end foreign wars.

Kennedy also weighed in on recent events in Israel involving Hamas’ murder of six hostages, expressing his belief that it is time for compassion for the victims’ families. He predicted that Trump would maintain strong support for Israel if he wins a second term, praising his policy towards the Jewish state as being “much better in the past than the Democratic policy.

The Harris-Walz campaign has not yet responded to Kennedy’s comments.
