Kamala’s ‘Hard Woke’: A Slip-Up at the Milwaukee Rally

Vice President Kamala Harris experienced a minor verbal slip during her Milwaukee rally on Tuesday night, vowing to “put in the hard woke” instead of work while discussing the upcoming White House race. The term “woke” is frequently used by Republican officials to criticize what they perceive as excessive political correctness.

We know this is going to be a tight race until the very end,” the Democratic presidential nominee stated. We have some hard work ahead of us, and we have hard work ahead of us because we like hard work. Hard work is good work.

Harris continued, saying that with the help of her supporters in November, they would win due to their commitment over the next 77 days. An attendee at the rally admitted to cringing at the slip-up.

Retiring President Joe Biden, aged 81, is well-known for his gaffes in public speeches; however, Harris, aged 59, has not yet developed a similar reputation. As Vice President, Kamala Harris has taken over from Biden as the Democratic presidential nominee since his retirement announcement on July 21st. She is set to deliver her nomination acceptance speech on the final night of the Democratic convention in Chicago on Thursday.
