Trump Sets Positive Voting Example: Encourages Early Voting in Florida’s GOP Primary

Former President Donald Trump participated in early voting by casting an advance ballot in Florida’s GOP primary set to take place next Tuesday, thus setting a positive example for others to follow suit. Great honor to vote,” Trump remarked after voting, according to a video posted by his deputy communications director. He expressed confidence that the Republican party was doing well and anticipated an interesting couple of months ahead.

Florida is currently preparing for its House and Senate primaries scheduled for August 20. Early voting began last Saturday and will continue until this coming Saturday. Trump, aged 78, cast his vote in Palm Beach before heading to Asheville, NC for a campaign event.

Prior to the upcoming November 5 presidential election, Trump has actively encouraged his supporters to vote early, citing the need to win as justification for this stance. In June, his campaign initiated an initiative named “Swamp The Vote USA” aimed at promoting mail-in absentee and early in-person voting.

Republicans must win and we will use every appropriate tool to beat the Democrats because they are destroying our country,” Trump stated during the launch of the initiative. He further explained, “Whether you vote absentee, by mail, early in-person or on election day, we are going to protect the vote. We make sure your ballot is secure and your voice is heard.

Despite this support for early voting, Trump has previously criticized mail-in voting practices. For instance, during a recent rally in Georgia, he advocated for same-day voting instead. I will secure our elections,” Trump announced at the event. Our goal will be one-day voting with paper ballots, proof of citizenship, and voter ID.
