Disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein is allegedly owed nearly half a million dollars from the national tour of the play “Finding Neverland,” according to a new lawsuit filed on Tuesday. The suit claims that the production companies behind an 81-week national tour of the Broadway musical about the man behind beloved children’s tale “Peter Pan” have yet to pay Weinstein’s agreed upon consulting fees as an executive producer of the tour. These fees included a $5,750 weekly fee and a 25.75% share of the profits. While the total profits of the production are not known, those weekly fees could potentially total as high as $465,750. Weinstein was convicted on rape charges in February 2020 and received a 23-year sentence, which was overturned in April, leading to his retrial this November. He remains in jail, oscillating between Rikers Island and Bellevue Hospital, after contracting COVID-19 and pneumonia in Rikers.
