Jordan Doubts Trump’s DOJ Would Investigate Biden, Focuses on Border and Energy

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) recently stated that he does not think former President Donald Trump will pursue any investigation into or charges against current President Joe Biden if Trump were to win back the White House in November. When asked during an Axios House event if he expected Trump’s Department of Justice to investigate Biden and his family, Jordan responded, “I don’t think that’s the plan.” He added that Trump would be focused on securing the border, ensuring tax cuts stay in place, and putting back in place common-sense energy policy.

Jordan also addressed whether he believes President Joe Biden and his family have committed crimes for which they have yet to be charged. I don’t know that,” Jordan said, adding that he has always been against moving forward with impeachment and thinks the case against Biden is compelling. Trump on Monday suggested that Biden may persuade the Department of Justice to end two legal cases against him in an attempt to unify the country following the assassination attempt on the former president in Pennsylvania.

Nikki Haley, a former Republican presidential candidate who sparred with Donald Trump during the primary season, spoke at the Republican National Convention and firmly backed the 2024 GOP nominee. She declared that President Trump has her strong endorsement and urged those who don’t agree with him 100% of the time to still vote for him, as they likely agree on essential issues such as national security and preventing wars.
