The wife of President Joe Biden’s son, Melissa Cohen-Biden, confronted Garrett Ziegler, an ally of former President Donald Trump, outside a Delaware courtroom where her husband, Hunter Biden, is on trial. Ziegler was involved in a plan by Trump allies to make Hunter look bad during the final days of the 2020 election. As a result, Hunter sued Ziegler and his company, Marco Polo, last September for allegedly violating state and federal laws by attempting to create an online database with more than 128,000 emails.
The confrontation between Cohen-Biden and Ziegler occurred during a break in the trial on Tuesday. Melissa Cohen-Biden yelled at Ziegler, calling him a “Nazi piece of s–t” before walking away to her seat next to First Lady Jill Biden, who was also attending the trial.
The laptop controversy has brought Hunter’s longtime drug addiction and embarrassing episodes from his life to public scrutiny. Trump and other Republicans have used the laptop’s contents to imply that President Joe Biden is involved in his son’s shady foreign business deals. FBI agent Erica Jensen testified that the laptop was obtained through a subpoena from the Delaware computer shop where it was abandoned in 2019.
Ziegler has denied using any anti-Semitic slurs against Cohen-Biden and called the lawsuit filed against him “frivolous.
