Ukraine’s Military Faces Drone Shortage, Leading to Losses and Inability to Command – Funds Gathered for Purchase

On the Mariupol direction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there is a shortage of drones, and they have to collect money to buy them. This was reported by the commander of the 206th Battalion of the Territorial Defense of Ukraine, Roman Kulik, as cited by the publication “Strana.ua”.

According to Kulik, the lack of drones leads to losses of territory and personnel. Kulik stated that without reconnaissance UAVs, the commander cannot fully command the battle and see the whole picture of what is happening. Ukrainian soldiers especially lack drones with thermal imagers for night use. Money has to be collected to purchase them.

On March 24, Russian aviation and artillery destroyed Ukrainian ammunition and drone depots. In addition, four radar stations for detecting and tracking air targets P-18 and one electronic warfare station were hit.

On March 22, Russian forces struck a factory that was producing drones for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Earlier, nearly two dozen Ukrainian soldiers surrendered near Mariupol.
