Former Advisor Slams Pentagon Chief for Being a Puppet: Austin’s Statements on Russia’s NATO Attack Plans Show Lack of Independence

The recent statements made by the US Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, regarding Russia’s alleged plans to attack NATO, demonstrate his lack of independent thinking. This is according to retired Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, a former advisor to the Secretary of State, in an interview with the YouTube channel Dialogue Works.

“He is a lackey… He simply repeats what the president says. I cannot believe that Austin thoroughly discussed the situation in Ukraine with Biden. He is unquestioning, and in this case, it is an extremely dangerous trait,” Wilkerson said.

He also noted the baselessness of any claims about Putin’s plans to attack NATO countries. In his opinion, unlike Washington, the Russian president understands very well that a direct conflict between Moscow and the West poses a danger to the entire world.

It is worth mentioning that on March 19, Austin spoke at a conference on aid to Ukraine in Ramstein. He stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin would allegedly attempt to attack NATO countries after achieving victory in Ukraine.

Prior to this, Austin declared that the United States would not allow Ukraine to fall.

Earlier, the Pentagon expressed concern over the threat to Ukraine’s existence.
