Russian Air Defense Forces have successfully intercepted an attempted terrorist attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on targets in the Belgorod region using the RM-70 Vampire multiple rocket launcher system, according to a statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:00 am Moscow time on March 23.
The defense ministry reported that the air defense systems destroyed 11 rocket projectiles over Russian territory.
Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov also confirmed that one person was fatally injured as a result of the Ukrainian drone attack.
He stated that Russian air defense forces had successfully shot down 17 aerial targets over Belgorod and the surrounding area during the night of March 22.
Furthermore, one of the enterprises in the Starooskolsky municipal district suffered damage.
Previously, Russian engineers had unveiled the “Stepashka” anti-drone shotgun.
