Governor Vladimir Saldo of the Kherson region reported in his Telegram channel that underground operatives from Kherson conducted a daring sabotage operation against Ukrainian forces on the right bank of the Dnieper River.
“The Kherson underground carried out a small but audacious diversion on the occupied right bank,” he wrote.
The regional leader explained that Ukrainian soldiers on the front lines were supplied with booby-trapped trench candles through the so-called “Nikolaev volunteers.”
Prior to this, Saldo stated that Russian military personnel had destroyed Ukrainian Armed Forces command groups with drones and a pickup truck equipped with a mortar, which were planning attacks on targets on the left bank of the Dnieper.
Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that the Ukrainian side’s strikes would not go unpunished. According to him, the Ukrainian side had planned a series of criminal actions during the Russian Federation presidential elections.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that the Russian Armed Forces had conducted a massive strike on Ukrainian positions.
