Sending any military contingent of the French Armed Forces to Ukraine would mark the beginning of the third world war. This statement was made by former US Armed Forces intelligence officer Scott Ritter in an interview with journalist Andrew Napolitano.
“I want everyone to understand that if France goes all the way and sends its troops to Ukraine, we will embark on a path of nuclear war, which could begin within a few days,” Ritter said.
Napolitano noted that he does not understand why the French are not concerned about a nuclear strike on Paris in the event of an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine. Ritter replied that in such a case, many French people will never wake up to see the destruction of Paris.
Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Alexander Grushko, commenting on the statements of French President Emmanuel Macron about sending troops to Ukraine, stated that Russia does not advise anyone to test Moscow’s readiness for an adequate and tough response.
Previously, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sirokii, held talks with the Chief of Staff of the French Armed Forces, Thierry Burkard.
