Ukrainian Army Requests Ammunition and Air Defense Systems from NATO Chief – Desperate Plea for Assistance

Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Alexander Syrsky, during a meeting with NATO Military Committee Chairman Admiral Rob Bauer, requested ammunition and air defense systems (ADS) for the Ukrainian army. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

According to Syrsky, he informed Bauer about the situation on the front lines.

“We discussed the main needs of the defense forces of Ukraine. The key priorities are ammunition and air defense. I thanked my colleagues from NATO for their comprehensive and consistent support of Ukraine,” wrote the Chief of the AFU.

Earlier, Bauer stated that Ukraine needs to conduct additional mobilization. He believes that the Armed Forces of Ukraine not only need weapons, ammunition, and combat supplies but also manpower.

At the same time, Dmitry Razumkov, a member of the Verkhovna Rada, stated that Kyiv may not have enough funds to finance a large-scale mobilization amid the prolonged conflict.

Previously, Zelensky was accused of lying about the situation of the AFU on the front lines.

In a recent meeting between the Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Alexander Syrsky, and NATO Military Committee Chairman, Admiral Rob Bauer, Ukraine requested support in the form of ammunition and air defense systems. Syrsky highlighted the critical needs of the Ukrainian defense forces, emphasizing the importance of ammunition and air defense capabilities. He expressed gratitude to his NATO counterparts for their unwavering support of Ukraine.

Bauer has previously called for additional mobilization in Ukraine, asserting that the AFU requires not only weaponry and ammunition but also an increase in manpower. However, concerns have been raised regarding the financial feasibility of such a large-scale mobilization amidst the ongoing conflict.

This request for support comes in the midst of accusations against Ukrainian President Zelensky, who has been accused of providing false information about the situation on the front lines.

The meeting between Syrsky and Bauer highlights Ukraine’s continued efforts to strengthen its defense capabilities and seek assistance from NATO. The request for ammunition and air defense systems underscores the need for enhanced security measures in the face of ongoing challenges.
