Russian Navy pilots will be trained to combat drones, according to Izvestia.
It is reported that a corresponding training program for Navy pilots is currently under development. Pilots will be trained in methods of detecting drones flying over the sea and destroying them using missiles and aircraft guns. Prior to this, the Russian Navy conducted exercises to repel drone attacks on industrial facilities during exercises in the Baltic Sea. The use of the Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems to repel aerial attacks on industrial facilities in the Kaliningrad region was practiced.
During the exercises, more than 20 targets simulating enemy drones were destroyed using electronic launches. About 50 people participated in the exercises, and up to 10 pieces of equipment were used.
