Russian Veterans to Receive Payments Without Application Process Using New Electronic Certificates

In Russia, electronic certificates for veterans of combat operations are being implemented, allowing participants in special military operations to receive payments without filing an application. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Sergei Shoigu.

The introduction of these innovations became known at a meeting of the military department’s collegium.

Shoigu informed those present that, at his instruction, the Ministry of Defense is issuing and implementing electronic certificates for veterans of combat operations. With their help, participants in special military operations will be able to receive payments from the military department without the need to file an application, as well as the federal and regional payments, special privileges from banks, and other benefits and services that they are entitled to.

The corresponding government order was signed on March 16.

“This is being done to more effectively ensure the social guarantees of participants in special military operations, local wars, and armed conflicts,” the minister explained.

According to him, more than 70,000 applications for electronic certificates have been received to date.

On March 19, it was reported that plastic card formats for veterans’ certificates will be introduced in Russia.

Earlier, it became known that educational documents will also be transferred to electronic format.
