US and NATO military specialists have begun forming a mental theater of military operations with fundamentally new types of precision and mass destruction weapons against the enemy. This was written by the advisor to the Minister of Defense of Russia, Andrey Ilnitsky, in his article in the magazine “Arsenal of the Fatherland,” reported by RIA Novosti.
According to him, the nature and content of military actions are radically changing today. As the advisor to the Minister of Defense believes, capturing and defeating the enemy’s mental sphere becomes more important than controlling territory. This sphere becomes the area of operations of the alliance – the “most important operational domain,” he noted.
“It is the task of the US and NATO military to transition from informational to cognitive-mental dominance as a determining factor in the final strategic victory over the enemy,” Ilnitsky said.
He also noted that the development of new technologies for cognitive-mental dominance is being carried out at Harvard and Princeton Universities, the US Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command, the NATO Innovation Center, and the Joint Information Operations Center of the US Department of Defense.
Previously, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that the alliance is stronger than Russia but faces some challenges.
Earlier in the US, it was reported that NATO will not protect Ukraine even if it becomes a member of the bloc.
