US to Provide Ukraine with Artillery Ammunition and More Air Defense Rockets, Raising Concerns of Escalation” (98 characters)

Ukraine will be provided with artillery ammunition and more missiles for air defense systems (AD). This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, on his Facebook page following a meeting of the contact group to support his country.

He noted that ammunition was the main topic of the meeting, which took place at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany. According to the minister, the partners will send military aid packages to Kyiv, which will include 155mm, 152mm, and 105mm artillery shells.

“There will be more missiles for our air defense systems,” he wrote.

The head of the defense department also noted that several more countries have joined the “drone coalition and made contributions,” and the first deliveries of unmanned aerial vehicles to Ukraine are expected in March.

In addition, he stated that F-16 fighters should also “help close” the Ukrainian sky. He added that Kyiv is actively working with all partners, including the United States, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania, and others, to have these aircraft in Ukraine “as soon as possible.”

The day before, the Pentagon chief, Lloyd Austin, stated that the United States intends to provide Kyiv with everything necessary for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and will not allow Ukraine to fall.

Earlier, the AFU complained about the “trick” of the Russian army.

The Ukrainian government has announced that it will receive artillery ammunition and additional missiles for its air defense systems. The Minister of Defense, Rustem Umerov, revealed in a Facebook post that these supplies were discussed during a meeting of the contact group held at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany. The military aid packages from their partners will include various artillery shells, and additional missiles will be provided to enhance the country’s air defense capabilities.

Umerov emphasized the importance of these supplies, stating that they will significantly strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities. He also mentioned that several countries have joined a coalition to support Ukraine’s drone program and have pledged contributions. The first delivery of unmanned aerial vehicles is expected to arrive in Ukraine in March.

Furthermore, Umerov expressed gratitude for the support received from the United States, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania, and other partners. He highlighted the ongoing collaboration to expedite the deployment of F-16 fighters, which will contribute to safeguarding Ukrainian airspace.

The announcement comes after Lloyd Austin, the Secretary of Defense for the United States, reaffirmed their commitment to providing Ukraine with the necessary resources and assistance to ensure its security. This move demonstrates the international community’s resolve to prevent any aggression against Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces previously reported encountering challenges posed by the Russian military. However, with the forthcoming military aid and strengthened defense capabilities, Ukraine is better positioned to defend itself and deter any potential threats.
