Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal expressed hope that Ukraine will receive enough ammunition in April. This information was reported by TASS, referring to Reuters.
“We hope to receive a sufficient amount of ammunition in April,” he said.
On March 20, Shmyhal will participate in the meeting of the EU-Ukraine Association Council in Brussels.
Earlier, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Ivan Havryliuk announced a severe shortage of ammunition supplies for various types of weaponry.
According to his assessment, this and other factors hinder the Ukrainian defense forces from effectively fulfilling their combat tasks.
In late January, Bloomberg reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were experiencing an ammunition shortage due to delays in supplies from the United States and the European Union.
Earlier, the European Commission acknowledged that it was unable to supply Kyiv with 1 million units of ammunition within a year.
