According to military expert Colonel Andrey Koshkin, the self-propelled artillery system “Koalitsiya-SV” is currently the best in the world in terms of its characteristics. Koshkin, who is the head of the Department of Political Analysis and Socio-Psychological Processes at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, stated this in an interview with Lenta.ru.
Highlighting its tactical and technical features, Koshkin praised the 152-millimeter “Koalitsiya-SV” system as the best in the world today. He emphasized its timeliness and high effectiveness, stating that it is highly demanded on the front lines.
Koshkin explained that the base of the howitzer was inherited from the T-90 tank, which provides excellent maneuverability in European landscapes. Additionally, the system has a firing range of up to 70 km, a high rate of fire, and performs well in counter-battery combat.
According to the retired colonel, if the production of “Koalitsiya-SV” is scaled up, its deployment on the front lines will not only help accomplish combat tasks for assault groups but also contribute to the breakthrough of more significant forces.
On October 20, the state corporation “Rostec” announced that the new Russian howitzer “Koalitsiya-SV” had successfully completed technical tests and is ready for serial production.
Earlier, a Russian colonel had discussed the functions of drones in the Black Sea combat operations.
