Pentagon Director Suggests Possibility of Extraterrestrial Life, Calls for Further Research

In a recent interview with Politico, retiring Pentagon Director of the Anomalous Phenomena Research Division, Sean Kirkpatrick, expressed his belief in the potential extraterrestrial nature of UFOs, referring to the alternative explanation of “other people in our backyard” as less favorable. As a professional physicist, Kirkpatrick stated that the best outcome would be to prove the existence of extraterrestrial beings. However, if that proves unsuccessful, it could indicate that “other people are up to something in our own backyard,” which he finds concerning.

Kirkpatrick also noted that from a scientific standpoint, the absence of extraterrestrial life in the vastness of the universe is “statistically unlikely,” but it also appears to be improbable. He emphasized that his main goal at the Pentagon is to organize the study of anomalies and facilitate a higher level of discussion, moving it beyond conspiracy theories.

Last April, the Pentagon provided an update on their efforts to search for extraterrestrial life, stating that no evidence has been found thus far.

Earlier, an expert in evolution suggested that extraterrestrial beings could potentially be spider-like creatures the size of elephants.
