The United States government plans to supply Israel with a shipment of high-precision aviation bombs worth $320 million, as reported by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ).
According to the newspaper, the US administration has already submitted a notification to Congress regarding the delivery of the planned guided bombs from the Spice family, which were developed by the Israeli company Rafael. As part of the agreement, the US subsidiary of Rafael will transfer these munitions to its main office in Israel.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden announced that Israel would receive assistance to combat the Hamas movement.
It is worth noting that Biden informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about this decision.
Previously, it became known that US authorities are concerned about the potential escalation of violence with the transfer of tens of thousands of firearms to Israel.
Hollywood actors had previously written a letter to Biden, urging him to halt the fire in Israel and Gaza.
