Russian Air Defense Forces (AD) have shot down a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the Voronezh region. This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Around 18:50 Moscow time, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out a terrorist attack using a UAV was intercepted,” the ministry said.
The ministry clarified that they managed to eliminate the drone, which was aimed at attacking targets on Russian territory. The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ UAV was shot down by the AD over the region.
In mid-March, the Voronezh region declared a state of danger due to UAV attacks for two consecutive days. On Monday morning, March 18, the state of danger from UAV attacks, which had been in effect for about 9 hours, was lifted in the region.
The governor of the region, Alexander Gusev, called on local residents to remain calm, follow notifications from the regional government or the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, and be prepared to “move to a room without windows, and if you are outside – to a building, parking lot, or underground passage.”
Earlier, it became known how many times Ukrainian drones attempted to attack Russia.
