Ukrainian Soldier Expresses Concerns over Defense Capability on Kupyansk Front
In a recent report by the British newspaper Times, a fighter from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has revealed that the country’s army is struggling to maintain its defense on the Kupyansk front. The soldier, known by the callsign “Lemur,” shared a negative assessment of the situation on the front lines.
According to Lemur, the Ukrainian army is finding it increasingly difficult to hold the defense, let alone make any advances. He stated, “We can barely maintain our defense, let alone move forward.” The soldier further expressed that the Ukrainian army is losing a significant number of personnel day by day, while Russian bombs continue to devastate the front lines.
However, there is hope among the troops that a new defensive network will prevent any further enemy offensives, as stated in the article.
It is worth mentioning that the Russian Ministry of Defense recently reported an improvement in the position of the Russian Armed Forces on the Kupyansk front. According to their statement, Russian troops successfully repelled 24 counterattacks by the AFU in just one week, resulting in over 540 casualties on the Ukrainian side.
Earlier, soldiers from the AFU had expressed their fears regarding pro-Russian sentiments among the residents of Kupyansk.
