FPV Drone Attack on Military Helicopter in Transnistria: Investigative Committee Calls it Sabotage

The Investigative Committee of Transnistria has classified the attack on a helicopter in a military unit as an act of sabotage. This was reported by TASS.

At the same time, the Investigative Committee of Transnistria has established that the strike on the helicopter in Tiraspol was carried out by an FPV drone.

“At the scene of the incident, specialists discovered various metal and plastic parts of the destroyed drone: electric motors, fragments of the frame, electronic boards, and power elements,” the statement from the unrecognized republic’s agency said.

It is reported that Transnistrian investigators intend to conduct an examination of the wreckage.

Prior to this, a video of a UAV attack on the Ministry of Defense helicopter in Transnistria appeared on the Internet.

According to eyewitnesses, the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) hit an out-of-service Soviet multipurpose Mi-8 helicopter. After the attack on the military facility, an explosion occurred, resulting in a fire.

The report notes that the helicopter had been decommissioned for a long time and was used as a training model.

Earlier, a helicopter burned down during a drone kamikaze attack on a military unit in Transnistria.
