During the shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the morning of March 18, one person was injured in Belgorod. This was announced by the mayor of the city, Valentin Demidov, during an emergency government meeting in the region, as reported by the mayor’s Telegram channel.
In addition to the injured person, the city has also suffered damages. Shells hit a private house, an outbuilding, a car, and a bus. Representatives of the city administration have been dispatched to the affected areas.
Meanwhile, the rocket threat has been lifted in Belgorod and the Belgorod region.
The day before, as a result of AFU shelling in the Grayvoron city district of the Belgorod region, two local residents were injured. According to the regional governor, a Ukrainian shell hit a private residential house in the village of Gora-Podol, injuring a woman. Doctors diagnosed her with a head injury.
Another shell detonated near another private house, causing shrapnel injuries to a man’s head and shoulder.
The injured were evacuated by self-defense fighters and handed over to medical personnel. Currently, the man and woman are hospitalized, and doctors are providing them with emergency assistance.
Earlier, the AFU dropped explosives on a settlement in the Belgorod region.
