Voronezh Region Under Attack by Drones, Government Urges Citizens to Take Shelter. Is Ukraine Behind the Assault?

In the Voronezh region, the danger of unmanned aerial vehicle attacks has been declared. Governor Alexander Gusev announced this in his Telegram channel.

“Dear residents of the Voronezh region, the danger of UAV attacks has been declared in the region,” the message says.

The head of the region called on fellow citizens to remain calm, follow notifications from the regional government or the Russian Emergencies Ministry, and be prepared to “move to a room without windows, and if you are outside – to a building, parking lot, underground passage.”

The Russian Foreign Ministry believes that Kiev has intensified attacks against Russia in order to receive more financial assistance and weapons from the West. The ministry also stated that the ongoing shelling of civilian infrastructure by Ukraine is aimed at disrupting the election process and intimidating people to deprive them of the opportunity to vote.

Earlier in Belgorod, a cat shielded its owner from shrapnel.

Voronezh Region Declares Danger of UAV Attacks

The Voronezh region in Russia has officially declared a state of danger due to potential unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks. Governor Alexander Gusev made the announcement through his Telegram channel, urging residents to stay calm and remain vigilant by following notifications from the regional government or the Russian Emergencies Ministry. In an effort to ensure their safety, citizens are advised to seek shelter in windowless rooms or, if outdoors, to find refuge in nearby buildings, parking lots, or underground passages.

This development comes as the Russian Foreign Ministry suggests that the Ukrainian government has escalated attacks against Russia as a means to garner increased financial aid and weaponry from Western nations. Furthermore, the ministry claims that the ongoing shelling of civilian infrastructure by Ukrainian forces is an intentional effort to disrupt the upcoming election process and intimidate voters.

In a separate incident, a heartwarming story emerged from Belgorod, where a courageous cat shielded its owner from shrapnel, highlighting the resilience and loyalty of animals in times of crisis.

As tensions continue to rise in the region, it is crucial for residents to remain vigilant and adhere to safety protocols issued by local authorities. By prioritizing the well-being of its citizens, the Voronezh region aims to navigate this period of heightened threat with resilience and determination.
