Russian Military Thwarts Ukrainian Drone Attack in Belgorod Region
In a recent incident, Russian military forces successfully intercepted an attempted drone attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on targets in the Belgorod region. This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The attack took place at approximately 18:30 Moscow time, and was promptly neutralized by the Russian air defense systems. The Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed over the territory of the Belgorod region, thanks to the vigilant efforts of the Russian air defense forces.
Prior to this incident, the Governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, had already alerted residents to a rocket danger signal in Belgorod and the surrounding areas. He advised people to stay away from windows and seek shelter in corridors, bathrooms, and basements. “If you are outside, seek cover or find a safe place,” the official added.
Furthermore, the Russian air defense systems successfully prevented another attempted strike by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, utilizing a drone, on Russian territory. According to the Ministry of Defense, the intercepted drone was of an aircraft type. The operation to neutralize the unmanned aerial vehicle took place in the airspace above the Belgorod region.
Earlier, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed the target of the Ukrainian strikes on Belgorod.
