Missile alert canceled in Belgorod and Belgorod region. The governor of the region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced this in his Telegram channel.
“The missile alert signal has been canceled,” he wrote.
According to Gladkov, during the alert, local residents were advised to seek shelter in rooms with solid walls, such as a corridor, bathroom, or pantry, and stay away from windows.
Shortly before this, the head of the region announced that a missile alert siren had been activated in the aforementioned areas. The Belgorod region is regularly subjected to shelling and drone attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This is because this Russian region borders the Kharkiv region of Ukraine.
Prior to this, Russian air defense systems prevented a new attempt by the AFU to launch a strike using a drone on Russian territory.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense announced the number of drones shot down overnight.
