Trump Unleashes Fiery Criticism of Biden’s Border Policies at Ohio Rally, Calls Him ‘Worst President in U.S. History

Former President Trump held a campaign rally in Ohio over the weekend, addressing several issues including the crisis at the southern border and its impact on smaller communities in the United States. The rally, which saw Trump being supported by various Republican allies, aimed to garner support for Republican Senate candidate Bernie Moreno.

During his speech, Trump heavily criticized President Biden, referring to him as “a great threat to our democracy” and the “worst president in U.S. history.” He specifically targeted Biden’s border policies, expressing his disapproval. Trump also urged voters to back Moreno, an Ohio businessman running to help Republicans secure a crucial seat and potentially shift the majority in the U.S. Senate.

In a show of support, Moreno reciprocated by urging voters to stand behind Trump. He also addressed those who may have policy disagreements but still support Trump, saying, “This is a good man. This is a great American. This man wakes up every day fighting for us, fighting for this country. He loves this country like no other leader in this nation has ever loved this country.”

Moreno faces tough competition in the Republican primary from Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose and state Sen. Matt Dolan. The winner of the primary will then face third-term U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown, a vulnerable Democrat, in the November elections. Trump’s endorsement of Moreno has boosted his campaign, with other notable Republicans such as Sen. Bill Hagerty, R-Tenn., Sen. J.D. Vance, and Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, also endorsing him.

During the rally, Jordan praised Trump’s track record, stating, “What we had under President Trump was a guy who did what he said he was going to do. He was amazing. He said he would cut taxes, he did. He said he would reduce regulations, he did. He said he would put conservatives on the court, he did.”

Moreno has garnered support from various Republican figures, including former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, Arizona Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake, former Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, R-Ga., and several senators and representatives from different states.

Bernie Moreno, with a background as a former luxury car dealership tycoon, purchased a struggling Cleveland Mercedes-Benz dealership in 2005. He presents himself as a “political outsider” and a self-made man, which has resonated with Trump’s base and positioned him as a favorite for the nomination.

The rally in Ohio showcased Trump’s influence within the Republican Party and his continued involvement in shaping the political landscape. It highlighted his critical stance toward President Biden and his policies, as well as his efforts to rally support for Republican candidates like Bernie Moreno. The primary election on Tuesday will determine who will face Sen. Sherrod Brown in the November elections, with Trump’s endorsement potentially playing a significant role in the outcome.
