Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of the Belgorod region has provided an update on the situation in Belgorod and the Belgorod district following the morning shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In a post on his Telegram channel, he outlined the extent of the damage caused by the attack.
According to Governor Gladkov, various damages have been recorded in 106 apartments across 22 residential buildings in the city of Belgorod. Additionally, one private residential house, a garage, two social facilities, and two commercial establishments have also been affected. Furthermore, 64 vehicles have sustained damage as a result of the shelling.
In the Belgorod district, the village of Dubovoe witnessed damage to 13 private houses, two outbuildings, two garages, six vehicles, and a bus. The façade of a shopping center was also damaged, along with a store located within the shopping center. In the villages of Razumnoe and Severny, two private houses and two vehicles, and one private house and one vehicle respectively, were affected by the attack.
Governor Gladkov assured the public that emergency services are currently working in the affected areas to address the situation.
Prior to this, the governor had reported that two individuals had sustained life-threatening injuries during the shelling in Belgorod.
Earlier, President Zelensky had announced further strikes against Russia.
