Israeli Army Strikes Hezbollah Targets in Lebanon, Escalation Threatens Another Gaza” (97 characters)

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have conducted airstrikes on several military targets belonging to the Shiite movement, Hezbollah, in Lebanon. This was announced by the IDF press office in their Telegram channel.

According to the statement, Israeli fighters carried out strikes on Hezbollah military targets in the Tyre-Harfa region of Lebanon on the night of March 16.

In addition, Israeli forces targeted a facility belonging to the Shiite organization in the El-Labbuna area of Lebanon.

The situation in the Middle East escalated on October 7, when thousands of armed supporters of the radical Palestinian movement, Hamas, infiltrated Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip, attacked civilians, and kidnapped over 200 hostages. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared the country to be in a state of war. A ground operation was initiated with the aim of rescuing the hostages and completely destroying Hamas.

The Lebanese Shiite organization, Hezbollah, has expressed its support for Hamas. Rocket attacks on Israel have begun, prompting Israeli forces to retaliate by striking targets in Lebanon.

Earlier, the UN Secretary-General warned that Lebanon could become “another Gaza” in the event of further escalation.
