Russian Military Shoots Down 8 Enemy Missiles and Drones over Belgorod Region in a Daring Morning Operation

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced that eight projectiles of the RM-70 “Vampire” rocket system were shot down in the air over the Belgorod region. The corresponding publication was posted in the ministry’s Telegram channel.

It is reported that the shelling from the RM-70 “Vampire” rocket system took place at around 08:00 Moscow time.

Previously, it was reported that Russian air defense systems had shot down eight UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the night over the Belgorod and Kursk regions.

Five drones were shot down over the Kursk region. Russian military forces destroyed three UAVs, as well as a rocket projectile and a missile of the Tochka-U missile system, over the Belgorod region.

On the morning of March 16, a rocket hazard was declared in the territory of Belgorod and the Belgorod district. Citizens were advised, if possible, not to leave their homes and not to approach windows.

Earlier, the Zelensky administration threatened Russia with retaliation for the explosions in Ukraine.
