Russian Su-25 attack aircraft have successfully targeted Ukrainian military positions in the direction of Severodonetsk using unguided aviation missiles. This information was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as cited by TASS.
The Russian defense department emphasized that after using the weapons, the Russian military performed an anti-missile maneuver, released thermal traps, and returned to the airfield. The flight was carried out in a standard mode.
“We took off, flew along the route, and approached the target. We released unguided aviation missiles during the maneuver. The target was hit. We did not encounter any obstacles and returned,” said the Su-25 pilot with the call sign “Arkhont.”
The Russian Ministry of Defense also stated that during the night of March 15, unmanned aerial vehicles and rocket projectiles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) were destroyed over the territories of the Belgorod and Kaluga regions. Russian military personnel thwarted an attempt by the AFU to carry out a terrorist attack on Russian territory.
The Russian Ministry of Defense disclosed the number of foreign mercenaries eliminated during the operation.
