Hamas Presents Vision for Future Ceasefire Agreement in Gaza, Demanding Israeli Military Withdrawal and Humanitarian Aid

Hamas Presents Concept of Future Ceasefire Agreement to Mediators in Gaza Talks

Hamas has presented its vision for a future ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip to mediators in negotiations with Israel, according to TASS.

The official representative of the movement, Izzat ar-Rishk, published a statement on a Telegram channel, outlining the organization’s perspective. They highlighted the main principles of the agreement, including the cessation of aggression against the people of Gaza, the provision of humanitarian aid, the return of forcibly displaced individuals to their original places of residence, and the withdrawal of Israeli military forces from the enclave.

Hamas emphasized that these conditions are mandatory for achieving a long-awaited agreement.

Meanwhile, on March 14, Israeli authorities promised to deliver a devastating blow to Hezbollah. Israel issued an ultimatum to the Lebanese Shiite group, threatening a “crushing blow” in the event of continued shelling. The statement was made by Dmitry Gendelman, an advisor to the Israeli Prime Minister, and the corresponding video was published by the Israeli government.

The situation in the Middle East has escalated after thousands of Hamas militants infiltrated Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip on October 7. Over two hundred hostages were taken.

On that day, Hamas launched thousands of rockets into Israeli territory, announcing the beginning of the “Flood of Al-Aqsa” operation. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the country was in a state of war.

The Lebanese Shiite organization Hezbollah expressed support for Hamas. Rocket attacks on Israel and Lebanon began from both sides. On October 19, the Israeli army announced that border areas of the country had been shelled from Lebanese territory. According to the IDF, several anti-tank missiles were launched towards the kibbutz of Manara.

It is presumed that the Lebanese Shiite organization Hezbollah would be able to suppress Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system in the event of a conflict in the Middle East, according to experts cited by Bloomberg.

Earlier, the World Health Organization declared an “unprecedented hunger crisis” in the Gaza Strip.
