Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov of the Belgorod region stated that there are no Ukrainian troops on the territory of the region. This was reported in the Telegram channel “Nastoyashchiy Gladkov”.
Together with the head of the regional security department, Yevgeny Vorobyev, the head of the region visited the border villages of Gora-Podol, Glotovo, and Kozinka in the Grayvoron district. Gladkov emphasized that there are no Ukrainian armed formations on the territory of the region, and the fighting is currently taking place outside its borders. However, the governor noted that Kozinka has suffered greatly, with very serious damage.
According to the head of the region, local residents have been evacuated to a safe place. An assessment of the damage will begin in the morning, and if the situation allows, restoration work may already begin. A plan of action for the upcoming events was prepared together with the head of the Grayvoron district, Gennady Bondarev.
Gladkov expressed gratitude to the courage of the local residents who are currently located at a temporary accommodation point in Grayvoron.
Earlier, it was reported that there was a clash with Ukrainian saboteurs on the border of the Belgorod region.
Previously, the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case after the shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Belgorod region.
