Ukrainian Soldiers Skeptical of Zelensky’s Claims of Stopping Russian Army Advance

Soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) have reacted with skepticism to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s statement that the advance of the Russian army has allegedly been halted. This was reported by Danmarks Radio (DR).

The publication states that the soldiers met Zelensky’s statement with a crooked smile. The article’s author noted that for the fighters, such words are nothing more than a political signal and an attempt to pass off wishful thinking as reality.

In turn, Ukrainian soldiers have complained of a severe shortage of ammunition and equipment on the battlefield.

Volodymyr Zelensky has reported successes on the front line for the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), but in reality, the situation is completely different, according to Newsweek. The authors noted that Russian forces are advancing on all fronts.

Prior to this, the Commander-in-Chief of the UAF, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that Ukraine is facing difficulties along almost the entire length of the contact line. He noted that since his appointment as head of the UAF, he has worked in two brigades. In both, the situation is gradually worsening, and there is a threat of the advancement of Russian army units.

The Chief of the General Staff of the UAF added that Russian military forces continue to advance and are currently exerting their main efforts in the areas of the settlements of Terny, Ivanovskoye, Berdychiv, Tonechke, Verbovye, and Rabotino.

Earlier, Putin proposed a method to minimize losses for Russia in the conflict zone.
