British Defense Minister dismisses Russian threat, calls for withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine

Head of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain, Grant Shapps, stated that in his opinion, there is no threat to Russia from the West. He made this statement during his appearance on GB News during his visit to Poland.

The representative of the United Kingdom particularly highlighted the irresponsibility in statements about nuclear weapons and expressed the belief that Russian troops should be withdrawn from Ukrainian territory.

Shapps also noted that, in his opinion, there are threats to Ukraine, Poland, and other countries to the west of them.

Earlier, the President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, stated that he does not plan to send military personnel to Ukraine. However, in Helsinki, they did not rule out the possibility of a strike by the Armed Forces of Finland on Russian territory.

Meanwhile, in Washington, there is no perceived need for new nuclear tests in the United States. Deputy Head of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Frank Rose emphasized that according to US laws, readiness for such tests must be maintained in case the American president issues the corresponding order. Rose added that the White House has not yet provided a precise answer regarding the possibility of increasing the nuclear arsenals of the United States, as this matter is still under consideration.

Earlier in Sweden, it was decided to burn the NATO Charter.
